Music can either intensify a feeling- listening to a sad song may depress you more if you are already depressed, or make it fade-listening to classical music when you are stressed may calm you down.. that type of stuff. People listen to whatever music/song fits thier mood, with out even realizing it. Music has the power to heal.. even when it causes you to hurt by bringing back a memory or such it helps you heal.
Music is my way of dealing with stuff, everything from 50's music, to pop, to rap, to classical. I listen to music constantly right now, it my escape from everything. There are so many songs out there that describe what I am going through right now, yet none of them fit me perfectly. Maybe I should write one? Idk. When Im at school I listen to music that will keep me goin (rap,pop), piss me off (screamo,metal)anything but cry.. When Im home I listen to softer music,(Oldies, country, some rap and maintsream, whatever I feel like).
At night I listen to a playlist I made just for days like the ones I have had of lately, for days I am so hurt, but dont want it to show. That ways I can cry in the peace of my room and not have a million questions that make you hurt worse. I think music that brings the pain out, really helps you heal. Crying always helps me get over stuff, but I HATE crying around people. So this is the best way for me to heal.
